Kinetika Bloco Croydon

Kinetika Bloco bring together groups of young people to create vibrant carnival and samba music. They are renowned for getting people into the carnival spirit!

We are working in partnership with them to support a series of workshops over the school holidays. They have also been working with a range of our staff and advanced young players to share skills and music-making techniques.

They are experts in bringing together experienced musicians and those with no experience to play and perform together, creating inclusive sessions open to all needs and abilities.
Find out more about them here.

Virtual School Music and Arts Sessions

The Croydon Virtual School is a team that works to improve the education of children in care in the borough.

We are working with them to offer weekly two-hour sessions in visual arts and music to a group of their unaccompanied asylum-seeking students. These creative sessions provide a way for the young people to have fun, interact with each other in a different way (creatively!) and engage with something new.

Beckmead Arts Day

Once a week during term time our creative practitioners visit Beckmead School to deliver an arts and crafts day for young boys with behavioural and learning needs aged 8 – 14 years.

They spend the day there working with different classes to create beautiful pieces of art work using different drawing and painting techniques. This project has proven very beneficial in supporting the young people to express themselves in a safe way and develop healthy relationships with one another.

For more information on how we support young people with complex needs, please contact us.
