The council have launched a Youth Arts Fund for young people and organisations to apply to develop their creative ideas.
There are three grants available:
1. Youth Arts Fund – Organisation grants
Grants of up to £7.500 are available for projects where young people (under 25) are actively involved in the development, leadership and delivery of your project. Priority will be given for projects involving young people not previously involved with the arts and from disadvantaged groups and to projects that increase access and participation.
2. Youth Arts Fund – Individual grants
Grants of up to £2,000 are available for the development of new ideas and projects by young people (under 25). Priority will be given for projects that are not easily funded by other grant schemes, that explore new ways of engaging young people and that expand audiences for music, dance, film and performance in Croydon. There is no requirement for partnership funding and individuals are eligible to apply. Applicants must be resident, studying or working in Croydon.
3. Youth Arts Fund - Partnership funding
Grants of up to £7,500 for match funding to support bids to other funders e.g. Arts Council England and the Big Lottery. Match funding is generally around 25% but can be up to 50%. Funds are only available to support projects that are bringing in other funding to the borough and are ultimately dependent on that funding being confirmed.
