Come along to one of our Saturday Centre taster sessions
on Saturday 17th November!
The sessions are free to attend but participants will only be admitted with a confirmation email from us.
What is the Saturday Centre?
It’s a music centre providing workshops, bands and orchestras for children who play strings, woodwind, brass, guitar, keyboard or percussion instruments. CYM groups complement the music making provided in schools. With the guidance of specialist tutors children develop skills which help them to progress in music, and prepare them to join more advanced groups.
If your child has had a term or two of lessons up to about Grade 5 standard they could join one of our groups.
Many young people have enjoyed CMA orchestras and bands over the years and have developed a love of music as well as skills in performing and creating music. Many have taken part in trips abroad.
When is the centre?
It’s on Saturday mornings from 9.00am to 12.15pm at Croydon Music and Arts at Oasis Academy Shirley Park.
Groups meet for an average of 10 sessions each term. Elementary groups meet from 9.00 to 11.00am, and the more advanced groups meet from 10.00am to 12.15pm.
