Change to Merit Award Lessons and New Bursaries available
We are writing with an update to fees for the Autumn Term. For many years, we have offered a Merit Award discounted rate on individual tuition, to students who have made good progress. This was aimed at rewarding and encouraging talented students to continue with CMA teachers, and in some cases to encourage them from group or paired tuition into individual lessons as they become more advanced. The Merit Award was also intended to be for students who attended our music centre ensembles.
Unfortunately, due to reduced funding and increased costs, we can no longer offer this discounted lesson rate. All individual lessons will now be charged at the full rates below. However, we have new bursary's available for anyone to apply for where they are feeling financially squeezed. We are keen that students do not stop learning or attending ensembles due to these changes.

All lesson fees and instrument hire fees are discounted by 50% for students eligible for Free School Meals.
A discretionary bursary is also available for help with lessons and centres, supported by music hub funding (lessons) and the Croydon Youth Music Association (for centre fees).
A Merit Award Bursary will be available by application, which will discount centre fees by 50%.
